Please take a moment this afternoon to reflect upon why many of you are involved in this hobby. All jokes, unit banter and uniform critiquing aside - war is not a joke. It is a filthy, disgusting, and often brutal game where the only "winners" are whomever is left standing after the smoke clears. Far too many young men (and women, too) did not go home to their families. We spend single weekends or afternoons playing war and return home "tired and dirty." Plenty of these kids (and I say that endearingly) spent months living in the mud and their own filth, marching hundreds of miles, watching their friends die and sometimes doing the killing themselves. As reenactors you should strive to be the very best that you can possibly in whatever your impression is. If not for yourself, for them. Learn what you do, live it, own it! We do our very best to provide the best and most authentic uniforms and equipment possible. We thank you for your business, and we're proud to provide it for you.
"Private First Class Arlon L. Adams, 119th Infantry Regiment, of Temperance, Michigan, awaits German counterattacks in his foxhole in the vicinity of Bardenberg and Wurselen, Germany, October 17th, 1944. Adams was later killed in action on February 24th, 1945 in the Roer River assault. The 119th crossed and attacked just south of the Hambach Forest. Adams was awarded both the Silver and the Bronze Star Medals."
